About Jimmy John's
Jimmy John's is an American sandwich chain settled in Champaign. The business was established by Jimmy John Liautaud in 1983.
Jimmy John's organizer, Jimmy, had two options after secondary school, go to the military or open a business. He picked sandwiches, and in January of 1983, the first Jimmy John's was opened in the school town of Charleston. The menu consisted of four sandwiches, made just like they are today with hand-sliced meats and always fresh-prepared bread.
